Steve Stahly is a principal of Stahly Financial in West Des Moines, Iowa. Stahly Financial business interests include manufacturing; finance; retirement communities; venture capital-funded early-stage biotech companies; and capital formation and consulting services. A native of Huron, SD, Steve earned his bachelor’s degree in agricultural economics from South Dakota State University in 1971. He serves on the Enterprise Institute Board, the SDSU Foundation Board of Governors and the SDSU Foundation Investment Committee. He was with the Farm Credit System for 14 years. He was then president and a principal of MABSCO Capital, Inc., which provided merchant banking functions and managed venture-capital portfolios. Steve serves on the Boards of Directors and is a stockholder of several businesses. He and his wife, Marcia, have three grown children: Jeff of Minneapolis, Steven and Nick of West Des Moines, and five grandchildren.
